Art Robinson: Radioactive water from California should be used to "enhance" drinking water in Oregon.
In 2006, the Orange County Register reported that “Radiation levels 16 times higher than allowed in drinking water were discovered last week in groundwater beneath Unit 1 of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station,” a nuclear power plant that had been decommissioned back in 1992.
In response, Art Robinson lamented:
It is unfortunate that this water under San Onofre is being wasted.Source: Art Robinson’s Access to Energy newsletter, April 2006.
If we could use it to enhance our own drinking water here in Oregon where background radiation is low, it would hormetically enhance our resistance to degenerative diseases.
Alas, this would be against the law.
